What To Consider When Installing A Pool

Below we have listed certain things to consider before you purchase your new pool. While they may seem a little daunting, they are required in some instances. We feel it is more beneficial for our customers to consider these factors before purchasing their new pool.

Access:- Do you have access to your property? As each job is individual it is very difficult to cover all areas, but here are some things to consider. We require approx. 2.5m wide for our excavator and small trucks to come through your property, if narrower we can check other options for you.

Crane:- Will you need a crane to lift the pool over the property? We will determine this on inspection and will be included in your quotation.

Sewerage:- Do you know the location of your sewer pipes? This will play a major part in whether you can have a pool installed. You can call any Sydney Water Quick Check agent if you don't have the plans of your property. This will cost you approximately $25.00. Please get all the dimensions of the sewer e.g. location from boundary and the depths. If you build within the zone of influence there will be inspections and approvals required payable to Sydney Water.

Concrete Encasement:- This is an option available to you if your sewer is too close to where you would like the pool located. Concrete Encasement is not included in our quotation.

Easement:- What is an easement? An Easement is where an area of land on your property cannot have any buildings etc erected. This should be shown on your house plans.

Boundaries:- Your pool needs to be installed at least one metre from each boundary fence.

Rock Excavation:- As this is an unknown area we cannot quote on this. You will need to keep in mind that if we locate rock on any part of the excavation we need to obtain a rock breaker. Rock Excavation is not included in our quotation.

Fill:- You will need to find a tip site, so we ask that you look for one prior to commencement of work. Removal of soil is not included in our quotation.

Electrical:- You will need to organise electrical connection for our filtration system. Electrical is not included in our quotation.

Fencing:- Your permanent fencing needs to be installed at least one metre from your pool, so you need to take this into consideration when deciding what size pool fits into your chosen position. Permanent fencing is not included in our quotation.

Water Tank:- Any pool over 40,000 litres needs to have its own water tank for topping up due to either evaporation or general swimming. You will need to consider this when choosing the size of your pool. Water tanks are not included in our quotation, however, we can determine the size of the water tank with information given by you.

Maintenance:- You will need to test your water regularly and make adjustments to your water as required. You can take your water sample to any pool shop and they can determine by looking at your sample what you need to do. We recommend doing this as your water needs to be correct for not only those swimming but also for your warranty of the filtration system.

Payment:- We only take cheques, bank cheques or cash.
